Sad & sleepless tonight.

Thinking about my little one tonight, and the little ones of the people I care about. Remembering the pain, which most of the time, feels so distant these days... but then there are times like these, when I can feel the pain of others, flowing through me like it's my own. And I guess in a way it is my own. And I wish nothing more then for a pain like this to not even exist.

I just looked up an Irish prayer that I read over and over again when I was going through the lowest points of my life, and then I found this one, that I also remember well, but for some reason I never posted here! So I will post it now, for sweet Siodhachan, and all the little ones who keep her company.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there... I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow...
I am the diamond glints on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight...
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there... I did not die...
